Well, I guess it's time I updated my little spot on the World Wide Web... After destroying engine #4 in my 1998 Z28, I got the crazy notion that it was time to go "all out" with the car. The plan was to completely strip the car to a bare shell, eliminate anything and everything that wasn't needed for drag racing, mini-tub the rear end, and install a stout big block Chevy motor in place of the LS1. I managed to get a pretty good start on things, completing most of the fabrication and engine mockup, and even managed to fabricate the mini-tub on one side of the car. I started the process of going through a divorce during all of the reconstruction, and just lost interest in the car all together. Admittedly, the Camaro was a large factor in my failed marriage, and I was ready to just be rid of it and start life over. The car was sold as a semi-rolling chassis to a close friend of mine, and I don't have one ounce of regret about it.
Then I bought the bike... I had grown up around motorcycles my entire life, and owned numerous off-road cycles and a 1994 Kawasaki ZX6 street bike. Being a newly free and independent man, I decided it was time for another streetbike. After doing a bit of research and some shopping around, I picked up a brand new 2005 Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa. It didn't take long before I took it to the dragstrip to see what it would do, and a new obsession (I mean hobby, honestly) was born. My current internally combusted passion is the Busa, and I'm having more fun with it than I ever did with ANY of my cars.
